Communications with the host fire alarm control panel are via a Remote Unit Interface RUI or RUI connection that allows for up to 2500 762 m distance RUI can communicate with up to a total of 31 remote devices per master controller on one or multiple RUI channels and can be as a Class B or Class X communication pathway Wiring can be either shielded or unshielded twisted or untwisted single
