beams of detection and motion can only be detected unobstructed areas covered by these beams They cannot detect motion which occurs behind walls floor closed doors glass partitions glass doors or windows Any type of tampering whether or unintentional such as masking painting or spraying of any material on the lenses mirrors or any other part of the detection system will impair its proper operation infrared motion detectors operate by sensing changes in temperature However their effectiveness be reduced when the ambient temperature rises near or above body temperature or if there are or unintentional sources of heat in or near the detection area Some of these heat sources could heaters radiators stoves barbeques fireplaces sunlight steam vents lighting and so on Digital Security Controls Ltd recommends that the entire system be completely tested a regular basis However despite frequent testing and due to but not limited to criminal or electrical disruption it is possible for Home Systems wiring solution The HS DS800 is a convenient to interconnect the HS NH400 Ethernet module to a local area network or the telephone system to home run telephone outlets This module can be in any of the Concourse Home Systems panels using the supplied mounting of Package installing the module confirm that the package contains the following parts one HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub one HS MP200 mounting plate seven plastic standoffs Instructions Insert the stand offs into the mounting plate as per Figure A matching the hole pattern the HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub A Mounting Plate Align the HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub over the standoffs and snap into place Locate a suitable mounting location for the HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub the cabinet Align the two mounting tabs with the holes in the wire raceway and insert as per Figure B Snap the module into place by pushing the opposite side towards the back of the cabinet B Instructions Diagram Home run CAT5 cable to each desired location and route the cables into the cabinet the raceway to the HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub Allow sufficient at both ends of the run to avoid stress and for proper termination and trim Label each cable at both ends for easier identification Note Maximum total of run from the hub to the device should not exceed 100 meters We keeping the cable run to 90 meters allowing 10 meters for the patch from the wall jack to the device Terminate each CAT5 data drop at the desired location using an RJ 45 keystone jack to TIA T568A standard observing proper CAT5 wiring practices Trim out the appropriate wall plate If using a multiple outlet mark the data jack Terminate each CAT5 data drop at the HS DH800 Data Voice Distribution Hub IDC blocks using a 110 punchdown tool and observing proper CAT5 wiring See Figure C Test all connections to confirm proper installation and termination Each RJ 45 is paired to an IDC connector Therefore all incoming connections can made at any terminal as long as the outgoing connection is made to the correspond connector All incoming and outgoing connections should be made using CAT5 and according to T568A standards Any equipment that uses CAT5 cable can be to this termination module All requirements for installation of CAT5 should be met for proper opera of connected equipment Do not strip off cable sheathing more than required for termination Do not kink or knot cable Do not crush cable with cable ties Do bend cable at right angles or any other sharp bends All cable bends should have a 2 radius
