detected in unobstructed areas covered by these beams They cannot motion which occurs behind walls ceilings floor closed doors glass partitions glass doors or windows Any type of whether intentional or unintentional such as masking painting or spraying of any material on the lenses mirrors or any other part of the detection system will impair its proper operation infrared motion detectors operate by sensing changes in temperature However their effectiveness can be reduced when the ambient rises near or above body temperature or if there are intentional or unintentional sources of heat in or near the detection area of these heat sources could be heaters radiators stoves barbeques fireplaces sunlight steam vents lighting and so on Digital Security Controls Ltd recommends that the entire Concourse and kits include the mounting plates To install DSC security products in cabinets one of these plates is required A wide variety of Power and Maxsys can be accommodated by the three plate sizes of Package package contains the following parts Four HS MP200 small plates or Two HS MP300 medium plates or One HS MP400 large plate Instructions Insert the standoffs not supplied into the mounting plate as per Figure A matching hole pattern on the Concourse Power or Maxsys module to be installed Mounting Plate A Align the module over the standoffs and snap into place Locate a suitable mounting location for the module inside the cabinet Align the two mounting tabs with the holes in wire raceway and insert as per Figure B Snap the module into place by pushing the opposite side
