Programming Keypad Zones RF5501 433 v5.0 Power864 RF5501 433 has a terminal This terminal can either be used as a zone input or a output The zone input can be used as any zone on the system from 1 through 64 If the zone is assigned a zone number that is present on the main panel it will replace the zone and the zone on the main panel will be disabled keypad zones on the RF5501 433 is a five step process Assign the keypad to a slot number Program a definition for the zone Assign the zone to the keypad slot Assign the zone to the partition Enable the keypad zone Sections 000 0 001 004 020 202 265 804 90 Assignment 1 to 64 Definitions Zone Assignment Assignment Zones 1 to 64 Options to enable keypad zone 8 Installer Code 000 0 1 Keypad Assignment use keypad zones each keypad must be assigned to its own slot 1 to 8 To assign a keypad a specific slot perform the following a two digit number The first digit is the partition the keypad will be assigned to 0 for operation 1 for partition 1 2 for partition 2 3 for partition 3 4 for partition 4 5 for 5 6 for partition 6 7 for partition 7 or 8 for partition 8 The second digit is the slot the will be assigned to 1 to 8 Installer Programming Keypad Assignment Section Partition and Slot Assignment Section you are using keypad zones DO NOT assign more than one keypad to the same LCD5500Z keypads are being used one keypad must be assigned to slot 8 for purposes 001 Zones 1 to 16 002 Zones 17 to 32 003 Zones 33 to 48 004 Zones 49 to 64 2 Keypad Zone Definition must be defined before they will operate Depending on the control panel being used 30 different zone definitions are available Enter Section 001 004 and the 2 digit number corresponding to the required zone definition for each zone 3 Keypad Zone Assignment Section is used to program which zone will be assigned to which keypad slot Program the zone number that will be assigned to the keypad in the corresponding slot Enter data if no keypad is assigned to the slot or if the zone input on the keypad will not be used example installation has three LCD keypads assigned to slot 1 2 and 8 at least one LCD must be to slot 8 for downloading purposes to be used as zones 6 7 and 8 respectively section 020 with the following data 4 Partition Zone Assignment will not function until they are enabled Ensure that all zones being used are enabled this example zones 6 7 and 8 on the main panel will be disabled Slot 5 00 Slot 6 00 Slot 7 00 Slot 8 08 Slot 1 06 Slot 2 07 Slot 3 00 Slot 4 00 202 Section 209 Partition 1 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 210 Section 217 Partition 2 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 218 Section 225 Partition 3 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 226 Section 233 Partition 4 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 234 Section 241 Partition 5 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 242 Section 249 Partition 6 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 250 Section 257 Partition 7 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 258 Section 265 Partition 8 Zone Assignments Zones 1 to 64 If zones are assigned to other Partitions ensure the partitions are enabled in 201 5 Enable Keypad Zone enable the terminal on the RF5501 433 keypad as a zone input turn option 6 ON in 804 subsection 90 Tips Keypad zones will use the same EOL resistor option as the panel normally closed or end of line resistors a powered detector is being connected to a keypad zone use RED and BLACK of the connection for power The built in Low Temperature Sensor requires the zone input If it is being used the input will not be available for use Test the keypad zone and ensure it is displayed on the keypad
