Fieldstone Court Cheshire CT 06410 cid 127 203 699 3000 cid 127 FAX 203 699 3108 Bulletin 970525 April 23 2001 5540M 5530M 5531M 5536M Series Category Adaptatone Battery back up using the Edwards EBPS6 booster supply purpose of this bulletin is to illustrate how to connect an emergency battery backup to an Edwards Adaptatone system using the Edwards EBPS6 power booster in combination with the Edwards MR201 C relay The EBPS6 will produce 6 of battery back up when accompanied by two Edwards 12V10A batteries required EBPS6 or EBPS10 booster supply 12V10A 12 volt 10 amp batteries MR201 C relay or more Adaptatone Millenium units 1 NAC 3 and NAC 4 notification appliance circuits as auxiliary power Per booster supply instructions set dipswitches 10 and 11 in the on position and all off 2 NAC 3 and NAC 4 to the MR201 C relay Use the diodes PN 7160015 that provided with the booster panel NAC circuits 3 and 4 provide 3 amps each of back power See figure 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 11 12 Sw1 10 3 the Adaptatone to the MR201 relay using the 24vdc battery back up terminals on TB1 Use the diodes PN 2600010 provided with the Adaptatone Observe when making connections See figure 1 for complete wiring details Bulletin 970525 1 of 2 1 15 Kohm resistors with EBPS6 DIODES PN 2 Amps Amps 24 0 other Adaptatone units Amps max draw VAC Battery terminals USED L N G DIODE PN 2600010 provided with Adaptatone Bulletin 970525 2 of 2 1 TONE N L TB 1 24vdc 24vdc other Adaptatone units 3 amps max draw
