1 Check to see that you have all of the following Class A Style D Circuit Board Assembly 562 900 3 Wire Cable Assembly 733 530 lo Wire Cable Assembly 733 531 Ribbon Harness Assembly 733 464 Envelope in screws 748 147 2.25 in internally threaded spacers and four 4 40 x Envelope Part 748 l 90 containing 1 in externally threaded posts 1 The Class A Circuit Board may be installed alone or in combination with an optional Disconnect Board or an optional Suppressor Zone Board an optional Board only the Class A Board listed above is to be installed along with the Class A Board follow the procedures the procedures to be installed Step 2 if one of the optional Step 3 Proceed as follows Screw the 2.25 in spacers onto the four threaded studs in the Fire Alarm Cabinet Making sure that terminal block TBl uppermost align the Class A Board with the spacers Then using four 4 40 screws secure the board to the spacers Making sure the ribbon cable blue edge is positioned as shown Figure 1 plug the ribbon cable onto of both boards Main F A PC Board 1 1988SlmplexTlmeRscorderCo Mass 01441 0001 U S A Manuals Online Making sure that the connector wire is both lowermost and aligns with pin 1 plug the 3 wire cable P3 of the Class A Board as shown in Figure 1 to properly align the connectors on either the ribbon cable or the 3 wire cable to the board pins can result in system damage As shown in Figure 1 connect the 3 wire cable leads to TB2 on the Main F A PC Board as follows Black wire to Red wire to TB2 5 Gray wire to To the Class A Board terminals connect the external devices as shown in Figure 4 see page 4 Apply power to the panel Then test the system in accordance with the directions the Instruction Manual Proceed as follows Screw the 2.25 in spacers onto the four threaded studs in the Fire Alarm Cabinet Making sure that terminal block TBl up align the Class A Board with the spacers Then using the hex secure the board to the spacers Making sure that the connector wire is both lowermost and aligns with pin 1 plug the 3 wire cable P3 of the Class A Board as shown in Figure 1 properly align 3 wire cable connector the pins can result system As shown in Figure 1 connect the 3 wire cable leads to TB2 on the Main F A PC Board as follows Black wire to 1 TB2 6 Red wire to I TB2 5 Gray wire to TB2 4 To the Class A Board terminals connect the external devices as shown in Figure 4 see page 4 Connect cable the Zone Disconnect Zone Suppressor Zone Disconnect Board as follows see Figure 2 USED ZONE DISCONNECT SUPPRESSOR BD 6 DISCONNECT SUPPRESSOR SD 2 Manuals Online Suppressor Board 562 657 or Zone Disconnect Suppressor 562 666 Black lead to Red lead to terminal Gray leads from left to right and in sequence Zone Disconnect Board 562 664 I terminals Black and red leads cut off or tape not used Gray leads from left to right and in sequence through Making sure that the lo wire cable connector properly aligns with the pins on P2 of the Class A Board the connector onto the Class A Board Then align the option board with the hex posts and using the 4 40 screws secure the board to the posts Making sure the ribbon cable blue edge is positioned as shown Figure 3 plug the ribbon cable onto of both boards properly align the connectors on either the ribbon cable or the lo wire cable to PC board pins can result in system damage Apply power to the panel Then test the system in accordance with the directions the Instruction Manual 3 SIG SIG TERMINALS ON ZONE DISC BOARD Manuals Online I AS ZONE 1 562 900 AS ZONE 1 4 SA Signaling Appliance Alarm Initiating Device If a zone is not used jumper the zone and TBl their counterparts on TB2 The above diagram only a typical For information on connecting specific alarm initiating devices to Wiring Diagrams 841 610 1 88 Manuals Online
