qualified Representatives HAZARD Static electricity can damage components Therefore handle as follows Ground yourself before opening or installing components Keep uninstalled component wrapped in anti static material at all times TrueAlarm QuickConnect Smoke Sensors are connected to a 4010 4020 4100 or 4120 Fire Alarm Control Panel FACP by a single wire pair II or IDNet The 4098 9710 QuickConnect Smoke Sensor without Sounder is only compatible with the 4010 and obtains both power and data IDNet wiring The 4098 9713 QuickConnect Smoke Sensor with Sounder additionally requires 24VDC power for sounder operation and is not with the 2120 CDT document covers only the information necessary to mount and wire these sensor base configurations Before installing these devices make a survey of area to be covered in accordance with information provided in NFPA 72 Chapter 5 For specific applications refer to Simplex publication Common Requirements for Fire Alarm Systems Publication No FA2 91 010 For additional information refer to NFPA 72 and the NEMA Guide for Proper of System Smoke Detectors Refer to the 4098 Detectors Sensors and Bases Application Manual 574 709 that was shipped with the fire alarm system for compatibility and data address settings maintenance and correct application of these QuickConnect Smoke Sensors the sensors described in this instruction in accordance with applicable NFPA standards local codes and the having jurisdiction Failure to follow these instructions may result in failure of the sensor to initiate an alarm Simplex is not responsible for sensors that have been improperly installed tested or maintained smoke sensors come with dust covers to protect them from contamination during completion of building construction will not operate with dust covers in place Do not over tighten mounting screws when mounting either the 4098 9832 Adapter Plate or the QuickConnect Sensor Mounting Plate Tighten the screws without warping the adapter or
