TDS 438 DELAY SWITCH FCI Model TDS 438 Time Delay Switch is a solid state timing device that will delay any AC or DC voltage between 24 and 240 volts for selected of time from 1 to 1,024 seconds at output current up to 1 ampere FCI Model TDS 438 Time Delay Switch must be in series with the load circuit When an AC or DC is applied to the module the 1.0 ampere solid state in the time capsule is in the state It appears as 20,000 ohm resistance and permits only a minute amount current to flow At expiration of the preset time delay as determined by the position of the 10 switches the TDS 438 internal solid state closes and permits the full load current to flow To the module the series circuit must be opened for at 200 milliseconds to assure its resetting PERIOD SPECIFICATIONS time delay is set by moving the time setting switches an open position which adds the delay time corresponding the switch With all switches in the closed position the will be 1 second With all 10 switches in the open the delay will be 1,024 seconds Any delay between and 1,024 seconds may be obtained by adjusting the setting the 10 switches voltage Time Temperature TIMING VARIATION resistance to 240 volts AC DC amp inductive milliseconds max timing cycle F to 185o F 15o C to 85o C ohms approx 10 over useful operating voltage and temperature range on initial time delay Switches set time to within 5 of the TDS 438 during a timing cycle PROTECTION TDS 438 will not operate prematurely with transients to 2,000 volts for 1.5 microseconds INFORMATION No Model TDS 438P Factory installed Switch only are provided for information only and are believed to be accurate However no responsibility is assumed by Fire Control Instruments Inc for their use subject to change without notice 1997 All Rights Reserved 2nd Ave Waltham MA 02451 1133 USA TEL 781 487 0088 FAX 781 370 4132 1.3
