Coast Guard Approval Number 161.002 55 0 22 July 2021 PROTECTIVE SYSTEM Clintonville Road CT 06472 alarm control panel NFS2 3030 control panel annunciators modules accessories initiating devices and devices except those versions with A and C endings listed in Section 9 of Equipment Kit Marine EQ Product Installation Document P N 54756 B1 dated data Marine Equipment Kit Marine EQ Product Installation Document P N dated 11 12 2012 Fire Alarm Control Panel NFS2 3030 E Installation Manual P N dated 5 5 2011 requirements of LR Type Approval System Test Specification Number 1 2002 for in deck and bridge zone in the approved component list that may be installed in areas requiring exceptional of protection i e wet damp locations such as galleys machinery spaces and cargo are as follows Backboxes BBS 2 BBSC 2 BBSCW 2 BBSW 2 SA WBB SA WBBC SA WBBCW and SA WBBW Bases all Detectors all Manual pull stations all Chimes horns strobes bells all Control modules FCM 1 and FCM 1 Rel Relay module FRM 1 Monitor modules FDRM 1 FDM 1 FMM 1 FMM 101 FMM 4 20 and FZM 1 Loop fault isolator module ISO X system must be installed and configured in accordance with Subpart 161.002 and Subchapter of Title 46 of the U S Code of Federal Regulations and with the 1993 or later version of 72 This is in addition to any other requirements specific to the vessel and its route those components listed on the approved component list may be used certificate dated 28 November 2012 revised expiration date per 46 CFR 161.002 effective 22 August 2016 End THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT the above named manufacturer has submitted to the undersigned satisfactory evidence that the item specified herein complies the applicable laws and regulations as outlined on the reverse side of this Certificate and approval is hereby given This approval shall be in effect until the date hereon unless sooner canceled or suspended by proper authority UNDER MY HAND THIS 07 cid 2957 cid 1920 DAY OF 2016 AT WASHINGTON D C A BALDWIN Lifesaving and Fire Safety Division DIRECTION OF THE COMMANDANT DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY USCG CGHQ 10030 REV 3 03 The approval of the item described on the face of the Certificate has been based upon the submittal of satisfactory that the item complies with the applicable provisions of the navigation and shipping laws and the applicable regulations in 33 and or Title 46 of the Code of Federal Regulations The approval is subject to any conditions noted on this Certificate and in applicable laws and regulations governing the use of the item on vessels subject to Coast Guard inspection or on other vessels and Consideration will be given to an extension of this approval provided application is made 3 months prior to the expiration of this Certificate The approval holder is responsible for making sure that the required inspections or tests of materials or devices covered this approval are carried out during production as prescribed in the applicable regulations The approval of the item covered by this certificate is valid only so long as the item is manufactured in conformance with details of the approved drawings specifications or other data referred to No modification in the approved design construction materials is to be adopted until the modification has been presented for consideration by the Commandant and confirmation that the proposed alteration is acceptable NOTICE Where a manufacturer of safety at sea equipment is offering for sale to the maritime industry directly or indirectly represented to be approved which fails to conform with either the design details or material specifications or both as by the Coast Guard immediate action may be taken to invoke the various penalties and sanctions provided by law prosecution under 46 U S C 3318 which provides A person that knowingly manufactures sells offers for sale or possesses with intent to sell any equipment subject to this Part B of Subtitle II of Title 46 U S C and the equipment is so defective as to be insufficient to accomplish the purpose for it is intended shall be fined not more than 10,000 imprisoned for not more than 5 years or both
