Goal How to Correct a 2001 Control Module 556 880 that s not Reporting Troubles 2001 2001 8001 2001 1007 Control Module 556 880 Control module 556 880 not reporting troubles Trouble led not illuminated Piezo will not sound Replaced control card 556 880 The field modifications per FSB 38 were not made Changes were made to the 556 880 2001 1007 Fire Control Module at revision G and later The LED will not turn on and the Piezo will not sound if the Fire Control module with revision F or has been replaced with revision G or later When installing the 556 880 2001 1007 Fire Control at revision G and later to an existing 2001 8001 Fire Alarm system the 2001 must be modified and see if 24VDC is on the left hand terminal strip TB1 5 0V to TB1 7 24V if the voltage is modification of the board is necessary See FSB 38 not available on the NET Just above the 556 880 2001 1007 Fire Control Module located on the mother board is an F Plug the wire entering pin 2 counting right to left of the F Plug PC pin J Make a jumper wire of 18 AWG that will run from the F Plug to the left hand terminal strip Reconnect the wires to the F Plug and the jumper using a wire nut to these severed wires Connect the jumper wire to left terminal TB1 7 See also the following Solution How to modify a 2001 Repack Motherboard Rev E and Earlier
