Goal How to trip a 4009 NAC Power Extender from a 2001 Coded or March Timed signal circuit 4009 2001 March Time Signals Coded Signals Need to change existing signal operation to steady on alarm Trouble with interconnection Host NAC circuit in trouble Adding dedicated dual or single circuit module Coded or March Timed signal module used must be modified individually to activate steady on Use the Single Reverse Polarity interconnection diagram from 841 925 to connect 4009 to a 2001 signal circuit If coding or march time operation is not required the dedicated 2001 signal circuit can modified to be steady on alarm 1 Referring to 2001 module Wiring Diagrams FA2 71 001 and Troubleshooting Guide FA2 61 for pin out reference is strongly recommended 2 Correct F plug connectors and pins will be required plug connector and 474 156 pins to the module will vary slightly depending on the actual module used Typically the C buss 0V signal activate is what gets coded or march timed This buss must be bypassed on the module and tied to a constant 0V The A buss constant 24V to activate the signal relay on the module must be bypassed 24V on from the control module either silenceable or resettable F plug pin E or 5 must be brought the signal module F plug input M J E and or 5 example on a 556 874 dual class B signal module 2001 2076 follow these steps Remove jumper between pads 9 10 ckt 1 and or 25 26 ckt 2 Solder a jumper wire between pad 9 to pad 8 ckt 1 and or pad 24 to pad 25 ckt 2 Remove jumper between pads 15 16 ckt 1 and or pads 29 30 ckt 2 Install a interconnect program wire from F plug pin 3 E ack or pin 4 5 on till reset over the 556 control module to the F plug over the signal module pins 1 M or 2 J ckt 2 and or 3 E or 4 5
