All repairs should be performed by a representative or authorized agent of local Simplex product supplier HAZARD Static electricity can damage components Handle as follows yourself before opening or installing components to installation keep components wrapped in anti static material at all times Introduction to the NAC Modules A Adapters NAC NAC modules are offered as optional enhancements to 100 W and Flex amplifiers as well as Expansion Signal XSIG Card for either expanding the number of available NACs or the existing NACs to Class A operation This section describes both types of NAC 4100 1246 Flex 4100 1249 100 W and 4100 1267 Expansion Signal Card Class A are used to convert the existing NACs on the amplifiers to Class A operation Wiring is supervised from the B terminals In the event of a short or open on the field wiring is provided from both the A and B terminals so that all speakers function under a single short or open condition Class A wiring does not guarantee all speakers will function if are multiple faults 4100 1245 Flex 4100 1248 100W and 4100 1266 Expansion Signal Card XNACs double NAC capacity of the amplifiers or XSIG card A Flex Amplifier normally has three 3 Class NACs available for wiring field circuits Adding the module to a Flex Amplifier or XSIG card the total number of available NACs to six 6 For the 100W Amplifier the Expansion allow wiring of up to twelve 12 NACs The additional NACs function in the same as the original NACs and are monitored for opens shorts and earth fault isolation while in NOTE Using Expansion NAC modules only doubles the number of available NOT the available power For example a 100W amplifier has 100W available for circuits regardless of whether it has six 6 NACs or twelve 12 NACs 1 below shows the differences in appearance between the XNAC and the Class A adapter XNAC Class A Adapter LEDs 1 2 and 3 are trouble indicators that correspond to NACs 1 2 and 3 1 The NAC Modules Module Specifications
