passback I O Linking Configurable Communication Options Ethernet TCP IP iSecure Path Hardwire Fiber Optic Internal modem supports Dial up and powered lines performance capacities Up to 8 Card Formats per ISC Up to 96 input points Up to 48 output points Standard up to 5000 cardholders 3000 transactions Expandable to 50,000 cardholders 25,000 Supports up to 12 readers Hardware features 32 bit Intel embedded processor Flash EPROM allowing software upgrades Built in diagnostics including LED status indicators Battery backup PIN keypad duress codes Tamper switch Built in transient protection and fused outputs hinged beige cabinet with locking door 2001 Simplex Time Recorder Co All rights reserved Internal View of ISC Description iSecure Controller ISC is a configurable distributed access control panel that communicates with iSecure Pro Security Management System and peripheral devices It monitors a wide variety of devices such as readers keypads door contacts to exit switches REXs etc and controls output such as door locks and alarms Processing technology allows the ISC to access control operation and transaction in the event of loss of communications with the computer Peer to peer communications enables to share information for global linking of communications to the host PC Design ISC is configured by selection of plug in modules offer these advantages Plug in communication reader and I O configure each panel individually One card and up to six reader and I O modules be installed in each ISC panel Expand by adding modules to an existing Controller or by adding panels to an iSecure up to 98 iSecure Path or dial up Controllers and to 256 Ethernet ISCs Technicians can troubleshoot and replace plug in modules Pluggable terminal mean no hard wiring of connections and allows removal without disturbing wiring connections 9 01 Architecture modular passive backplane accommodates these components CPU Slot 32 bit Intel embedded processor drives the Communication Slot Choice of Network Card or Six 6 Expansion Slots For plug in Reader and I O card Power Supply with battery charger ISC modules and power supply mount in a compact that allows mounting in areas with limited wall A tamper switch is provided to protect against enclosure access Components a communication card for the ISC card slot customizes controller functionality Card Options Choose one per ISC Ethernet TCP IP Network Card Path Hardwired or Modular Security Network Modem Card up to six expansion slots with any of the Reader and I O modules customizes access functionality Expansion Modules Choose up to six per ISC Two reader module Sixteen point input module Eight point output module Eight point input eight point output module Eight point input module All inputs can be configured as 2 state or 4 state Modules Reader Module has two 2 reader ports each of supporting a card reader keypad or integrated Each reader port provides complete and control of card access doorways by these devices One dry contact jumper selectable as N O or N C door locks One door status contact input One request to exit input control functionality is further enhanced with of four 4 general purpose inputs supervised or and two 2 general purpose dry contact outputs 2001 Simplex Time Recorder Co All rights reserved to data sheet S3500 0002 for more information on ISC Reader Module Modules I O Modules provide support for alarm intrusion detection elevator access set point control process control lighting and other and control functions The ISC provides physical signal interface to I O devices All I O points can be automatically or manually according to user time schedules inputs can be supervised to detect normal abnormal and short states or unsupervised The outputs are selectable as form A or B dry contact relays to N O or N C contacts to Data sheet S3500 0003 for more information on I O Modules Control The iSecure Pro can monitor up 24,576 supervised input points Individual input points groups can be shunted by time of day or manually by operators For example to deactivate or all door contacts on a floor Each input can also logically linked to activate any of the 12,288 control outputs on a global basis i e input points activating points on different controllers anywhere on the connected network Dial up ISCs only support I O linking output point can be linked to track the status of the pulsed for a pre programmed period of time or requiring an authorized operator to command a For example input to output linking can be used to on a group of lights or momentarily activate audible based on the status of an input point I O Linking links can be shared between modules in the same and between modules in networked ISCs of the host computer system Each input can linked to activate any combination of outputs Outputs be linked to follow input states activating or devices as required The following link types supported Track Latch Reverse Track and Output mode configuration includes Fast Flash and Slow Flash Anti passback means that entry and exit readers not need to be wired to the same controller Anti status is communicated between controllers when off line from the host PC fault tolerant iSecure Path network allows peer to communications between all ISCs on line Each ISC retains a unique internal mapping of up to other ISCs to which it may retain links Remote Dial ISCs support internal I O linking only 9 01 Control iSecure Pro is capable of controlling up to 48 readers Remote iSecure Controllers can support for up to 42 controlled floors for one cab access is enabled automatically when a card with proper access levels is presented at a reader mounted the elevator cab All elevator control output relays with an elevator card reader must be housed the ISC that contains the reader module Once the is recognized the ISC signals the appropriate output enabling associated floor call buttons Floor select can also be controlled using time schedules or by point control and Transaction Event Capacities the base configuration the ISC supports 5,000 and 3,000 Transactions Events Optional expansion modules are available to increase to 50,000 cards and 25,000 events Transaction capacity is automatically optimized by assigning Cardholder database memory to the Transaction Functionality ISC accommodates the following configurations for keypad reader Card entry only PIN Entry only Card then PIN entry uses integrated keypad readers PIN then card entry uses integrated keypad readers Card or PIN entry uses integrated
