lettering Separate covers are available to change application type or for replacement covers can be easily removed disturbing the connected housing and avoiding conditions A separate mounting plate allows wiring to be completed appliance is mounted use with single gang double or 4 inch square box flush or surface mount wiring terminals for 18 AWG to 12 AWG Optional mounting adapters are available to cover mounted electrical boxes and to adapt to Simplex boxes TrueAlert ES addressable multi tone A Vs are addressed audible visible notification that receive power supervision and control from a Simplex fire alarm control panel providing Signaling Line Circuits SLCs See list on page 4 Application Reference Proper selection of visible notification is dependent on location local codes and proper applications the National Fire Alarm Code NFPA 72 ANSI the appropriate model building code BOCA or SBCCI and the application guidelines of the with Disabilities Act ADA This product has Protection Products 7 2016 TrueAlert ES Operation Advantage TrueAlert ES addressable appliances on IDNAC provide separate visible and audible notification a single two wire circuit that also confirms to the individual notification appliance circuit This operation increases circuit integrity by providing supervision that beyond the appliance wiring connections current allows efficient IDNAC SLC With IDNAC SLCs a constant 29 VDC voltage is maintained even during battery standby strobes to operate at higher voltage with lower and ensuring a consistent current draw and voltage margin under both primary power and secondary standby Efficiencies include wiring distances up 2 to 3 times farther than with conventional notification support for more appliances per IDNAC SLC or use of gauge wiring or combinations of these benefits providing installation and maintenance savings with assurance that appliances that operate during normal testing will operate during worst case alarm Reducing Installation and Testing Time With controls on the same two wire SLC installation and expense for both retrofit and new construction be significantly reduced When Class B wiring is wiring can be tapped allowing more savings in wire conduit size and utilization and overall efficiency Use of Self Test and Magnet Test improve installation efficiency TrueAlert device conveniently identify information about each appliance Product Selection TrueAlert ES Diagnostics Test Features When IDNAC SLCs are in diagnostic Self Test and Magnet Test features provide individual testing With the Self Test feature appliance can be confirmed without leaving the control panel each appliance LED can be selected to pulse it receives a supervision poll during normal operation Details Selecting Self Test Mode from the control allows on board sensors depending on the device type to its own strobe and or horn output and then report their to the control panel Operation is by selected VNAC groups and is either automatic all briefly activated or individually activated by applying magnet Refer to control panel data sheet for more Self Test see list on page 4 Appliance Magnet Test In this test mode in to application of a magnet the appliance LED pulses to conveniently indicate the appliance address Appliance Magnet Test In this test mode the address is indicated by pulsing the appliance LED the will briefly flash and the horn will briefly sound to proper operation Instrument Two TSIT The 2nd generation of Simplex TrueStart Test Instrument adds testing of IDNAC wiring and TrueAlert ES appliances to its ability to test NACs and IDNet communications before connection to control panel Please contact your local Simplex for additional information Addressable Wiring Isolator Isolator
