SWIFT AV Base System Sensor SWIFT Wireless system offers an AV to support L-Series devices in wireless installations. Wireless installation Class A mesh network Addressable code wheels Commercial applications Frequency hopping Bi-Directional Communications Listed to UL 464, UL 1638, UL 1971, ULC S525, and ULC S526 Listings SWIFT AV bases (WAV-CRL, WAV-CWL, WAV-RL and WAV-WL) intended for use with compatible System Sensor L-Series AV appliances to meet a comprehensive range of notification The AV Base provides power for the audio and visual and supports wireless communication with the Fire Alarm Panel (FACP). The L-Series AV notification appliance is directly to the wireless AV base allowing flexibility in color, and signal output. is supplied through two sets of 4 batteries one set provides for wireless communication, and the other set provides power the notification appliance audio and/or visual signal. Battery life the wireless portion is UL listed for at least 2 years. Battery life for AV set of batteries depends upon the activation time and output of the audio or visual signal. The AV base boosts output voltage support 24VDC options on connected devices. SWIFT synchronization module (W-SYNC) can be used to audio and visual synchronization between SWIFT notification and System Sensor wired notification appliances. The synchronization module operates from 24V power with battery support and communicates through the network to the gateway and FACP. Synchronization is only with notification appliances that use the System Sensor protocol. Synchronization of the SWIFT notification within a single mesh network is inherent in the wireless and a wireless synchronization module is not needed. W-SYNC also provides wireless control and monitoring of a Appliance Circuit (NAC) expander or power supply. SYSTEM OVERVIEW SWIFT Smart Wireless Integrated Fire Technology wireless offers intelligent (addressable) devices which provide secure, communication to the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) across Class A mesh network. Wireless devices create an opportunity applications where it is costly (concrete walls/ceilings, buried obtrusive (surface mount conduit), or possibly dangerous 7/29/2020 Page 1 to use traditional wired devices. It allows fast installation time-critical situations and provides the flexibility to add wireless wired systems for retrofit installations. Both wired and wireless can be present on the same FACP for an integrated solution. through one or more intermediate devices. Once an initial mesh is formed, mesh restructuring automatically occurs to find strongest paths possible within the network. mesh network within the SWIFT system creates a child-parent between the devices so that each device has two providing a second path for communications on every If one device can no longer operate for any reason, the of the devices can still communicate with each other, directly SWIFT system also engages frequency hopping to prevent interference whether intentional or accidental.
