System Sensor InnovairFlex LED Function Set Incorrectly

Technical Field Bulletin of issue InnovairFlex LED function when incorrectly installing a second sensor of urgency Medium numbers 9 27 12 date range August 27 2012 to September 20 2012 Date code range 2085 to 2093 as 2 year 08 August 5 5th week of the month Date code location shown below Sensor has identified an LED indication issue that is only present when two sensors are installed to one power board This bulletin does not apply to installations configured with sensor and one power board the configuration of two sensors to one power board it is required to adjust the middle dip switch on power board to indicate two sensors as stated in the installation manual If two sensors are to one powerboard and the dip switch is appropriately set for two sensors there is no issue two sensors are connected to one powerboard and the dip switch setting is incorrectly set to one the supervisory relay will operate as normal terminals 3 and 14 are open A trouble signal will be sent to the Fire Alarm Control Panel if connected to indicate the second sensor is not a solid amber trouble LED should result on the power board for this incorrect setting no trouble LED indication is provided on the power board for the second sensor with the switch setting on units manufactured within the date range above the dip switch setting was verified to match the number of sensors during installation and proper was conducted to verify operation of the second sensor per NFPA and the installation manual no actions need to be taken Sensor has corrected this issue on products shipped after October 4 2012 date codes 2101 and Should you require additional information please contact System Sensor Technical Services at number below digit code you have any questions concerning System Sensor products or their applications contact Technical Services at 1 800 SENSOR2 736 7672 extension 2 Ohio Avenue St Charles IL 60174 Phone 800 736 7672 Fax 630 377 6583 www systemsensor com
