INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS VAC Adapter Mounting Plate SPECIFICATIONS Operating Temperature Range Voltage Voltage Range Draw From AC Line to 151 to 66 to 93 non condensing indoor products 120 VAC VAC mA max Ohio Avenue St Charles Illinois 60174 FAX 630 377 6495 may be used with any standard L Series indoor Horn Strobe or Horn Strobe at all horn and strobe settings This manual shall be left with the owner user of this equipment DESCRIPTION MP120KL mounting plate is designed to allow the use of 120 VAC to L Series indoor horn strobes horn strobes chimes and chime strobes MP120KL consists of a mounting plate that has been fitted with a power that converts 120 VAC to nominal 24V FWR MP120KL must be installed using a 120 VAC power source This unit only be used for non synchronous applications it will NOT work with Sensor Sync Modules module has pig tail wires and is intended to be wired without rigid con inside a standard electrical box WALL Attach the mounting plate See Figure 2 The mounting plate is compat only with 4 4 electrical boxes Connect field wiring For indoor models only If the product is not to be installed at this point use the protective dust to prevent contamination of the mounting plate terminals To attach product to mounting plate Remove the protective dust cover Hook the tabs on the top of the product housing into the grooves on plate Pivot the product into position to engage the terminals on the mount plate Make sure that the tabs on the back of the product housing engage with the mounting plate Hold product in place with one hand and secure product by tighten the single mounting screw in the front of the product housing 1 NON SYNCHRONIZED DEVICES ANY COMBINATION OF MODELS POWERED BY A 2 WIRE CIRCUIT Strobe Only VAC Wire System Mix of Models for Tandem 2 WALL MOUNTING INDOOR ONLY BACKBOX WIRES MOUNTING PLATE mounted to MP120KL Module WALL MOUNT APPLIANCE CEILING L Series ceiling appliances use a round mounting plate that is not sup with the MP120KL The mounting plate that ships with the notification will need to be attached to the MP120KL module Remove the mounting plate which comes attached to the MP120KL Disconnect the red and black wire and remove the 4 mounting that attach the mounting plate to the MP120KL module Attach the round mounting plate that ships with the notification appli to the MP120KL module Attach with the four screws from Step 1 attach the red and black wires to the terminal screws Attach the mounting plate See Figure 3 The mounting plate is compat only with 4 4 electrical boxes Connect field wiring to the mounting plate per the notification appliance manual If the product is not to be installed at this point use the protective dust to prevent contamination of the mounting plate terminals To attach product to mounting plate Remove the protective dust cover Hook the tabs on the top of the product housing into the grooves on plate Pivot the product into position to engage the terminals on the mount plate Make sure that the tabs on the back of the product housing engage with the mounting plate Hold product in place with one hand and secure product by tighten the single mounting screw in the front of the product housing Models only To remove product from the mounting plate loosen the mounting screw and press the locking button 3 CEILING MOUNTING INDOOR ONLY WIRES MODULE plate removed BACKBOX MOUNTING PLATE with Notification Appliance CEILING MOUNT APPLIANCE Sensor Strobes and Horn Strobes have been tested and found to comply with the for a Class B digital device pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules These limits are to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equip is operated in a commercial environment This equipment generates uses and radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the manual may cause harmful interference to radio communications Operation this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense STATEMENT INFORMATION the latest Warranty information please go to Limitations of Fire Alarm Systems please go to only For the latest Important Assembly Information please go to of Alarm Systems Only Information System Sensor 10 02 2018 Sensor is a registered trademark of Honeywell International Inc firealarmresources com
