Infrastructure Requirements for the 2.0 Emergency Response System following requirements need to be met by the installing contractor dealer and end user in to maintain system reliability and complete Cornell technical support and warranty The AURA 2.0 Application Server computer is a stand alone computer provided as part of the 2.0 Emergency Response System NO other application programs may be installed on this without authorization from Cornell Communications technical support Factory Windows PC settings of ANY kind are not to be changed by installing dealer or end user changes made will void factory warranty and technical support an end user requires multiple stations an AURA 2.0 Client Server computer is the only authorized covered by Cornell Communications technical support and warranty coverage The Aura 2.0 Application Server MUST be provided with a suitable Uninterruptable Power Source as follows This requirement also applies to any peripheral equipment that is essential to of the AURA 2.0 System including but not limited to Wireless Receivers Paging Data Collectors etc If the AURA 2.0 system will be on circuits that are backed up by Emergency Generator either a central UPS or a relatively small local UPS shall be provided to power during the switch over to generator provided power not on a generator a larger UPS shall be provided in order to extend the time interval during the AURA 2.0 system will operate under failure of primary AC power Client PCs and any equipment should be provided with Surge Protection equipment that is appropriate to hazards expected at the location at a minimum A network or stand alone printer must be supplied to print reports from the AURA 2.0 Call Reporter Broadband High Speed Internet and or Network Connections are required or recommended as or Call Reporting module nearby For Stand Alone Systems a suitable Network Jack and or Broadband Modem should be Where E mail notification will be utilized a permanent reliable connection will be required the Aura 2.0 Application Server and the E mail server or service being utilized Where SMS Text Messaging or SIP text to voice Services will be utilized a permanent Internet connection will be required to the Aura 2.0 Application Serve Where Client PCs and or I P link features will be utilized a permanent reliable Internet or connections will be required to the Aura 2.0 Application Server as well as to all linked equipment any of the connections listed above are required such information should be coordinated the End User appointed Information Technology contact s by the Aura Dealer Network security issues router firewall programming may need to be coordinated AURA 2.0 Emergency Response System provides for multiple alert notifications such as network e mails text messages to an outside cell phone or a voice message to internal facility Toshiba phone system or a SIP internet phone call NOTE AURA 2.0 only supports digital Toshiba phone systems at this time following requirements must be met to ensure system operation Alerts E Mail options that are available include SMTP with or without basic authentication is supported AURA 2.0 does not support TLS Layer Security or SSL Secure Socket Layer G MAIL is not supported G MAIL requires the use of TLS and SSL Yahoo Mail Plus is supported This is a premium service of Yahoo that currently costs 19.99 year Exchange Server is supported It is necessary to disable TLS and SSL when configured for use AURA 2.0 Outlook Client if it is installed on the AURA 2.0 Application Server is supported Outlook Client works via direct communication with AURA 2.0 therefore TLS and SSL settings do not when using Outlook Client AURA 2.0 does NOT support Outlook Express messaging to a cell phone or SMS Alerts requirements as E mail Alerts plus The name of the cell phone service of the cell phone that AURA 2.0 is sending a text message to example Verizon Sprint or AT T etc for SIP Internet Phone calling of an Alert Voice Message to an phone A dedicated internet connection DSL Road Runner etc whatever the local end user utilizes A license for the SIP software Called Smoke Signal This license is for making one call at a time expand the software for multiple calls at the same time will require a normal license agreement Ultimate Software Products Smoke Signal Software provided by Ultimate Software Products contact Cornell Communications for more information An annual service contract for the SIP calling software of 600.00 from Ultimate Software Products is the end user price and requires a Credit Card or prepaid accounts only The contract 4,800 phone calls Additional calls are available as a pre paid service access is required to the AURA 2.0 Application Server for installation and service of this any other questions please contact Cornell Communications technical support staff at 800 Monday Friday 8 am to 5 pm Central Time
