UZC 256 Zone Coder Release 2.0 UZC 256 Universal Zone Coder enables the Notifier intel fire alam control panels FACPs network control annun NCAs and compatible legacy systems to provide non interfering successive zone coded outputs Up to separate codes may be programmed to operate on the coded outputs Each output is used to code or pulse up 3 Amps of Notification Appliance power Coded output from the UZC 256 can be fed to multiple out circuits Up to 256 individually programmed codes Three 3 Amp outputs Programmable rounds of code 1 to 99 rounds Up to four digits per round Up to 15 pulses per digit of code Optional general alarm Programmable code and round s delay Programmable pulse and digit pause times Connects and communicates over panel EIA 485 interface Programmable for California code Weight 1.75 lbs 2.0 Features Secondary UZC use counting alarm operation activates relays after specified number of alarms Programmable address EIA 485 range 1 32 No code counting selection for non fire points UZC 256 provides three outputs that supply unique coded to certain output circuits depending on the alarm condition This can be useful when employing coded in floor above floor below applications or to provide numbers of rounds for bell circuits and strobe or lamp Due to the nature of coded outputs the UZC 256 is not with notification devices which do not produce a steady non periodic sound Periodic appliances that produce their own such as some codes available with electronic sounders will be compatible with the UZC 256 Refer to the UZC 256 Instal Manual for a list of compatible panels Operation UZC 256 provides three coded output relays each rated three amps at 30 VDC These relays are controlled by a program and can be set to respond to general conditions with the fire alarm system UZC 256 and the CPU use the EIA 485 circuit for commu When installed the zone coder has a programmable on the EIA 485 interface of points to zone codes within the UZC 25 is
